At last, an answer

Beni, thanks for this quick comparison. That's what I asked about. My overall canopy experience is mostly skydiving canopy currently Icarus Crossfire 99sqf - also sensitive to weight shifting, swoops nice I know nothing about "rolls" because skydivers don't do such things From speedgliders I've only flew on borrowed Bullet 10 and I want to buy something in this size for my own (but not bullet). I think 10/11 sqare meters will be safe choice for my first speedgliding canopy.

Based on what you say I think I will enjoy Spitfire more although differences are not that significant, so the harness, colours and price will be the factors to consider next I am not convinced to Niviuk simply because of lack of good information about harness, pictures etc.

And I asked about harnesses because I had a "pleasure" to testfly Ozone Atak, Dudek Zakoseat and one another which name unfortunatelly I can't remember, but it was definitely most comfortable. I hope Brave2 will be too.

best regards

Hy i like to help you making a good decision. I fly both wings a lot. They are about the same size by the way! Spitfire glides probably a bit better, dive will be similar. Spitfire will be a little faster i guess. In terms of safety, they are both very good. Stability is no issue on both of them!
The big diffrence is the roll stability. The Niviuk is really roll stable like a parachute or an beginner paraglider. Is easy to fly, but i don`t like that. Feels like flying a truck. The spitfire is more sensitive to weight shift and harnes turns. you have to pull less for the same turn! It is a little more difficult at the beginning, but once you understand it you will have fun with it. It also swoops further due to the higher aspect ratio. What is your previous canopy experience? cheers Beni Kälin

Come on.. really no one has anything to say ?

I know that both gliders has tripple riser system and trimmers on rear risers. Skate has something like crossbraces in cells which should make it stiffer and more turbulent resistant.. at least thats my theory

About Niviuk convertible harness there is literally no info. No photos, no descritpion. I know it is old 2007 model and they are developing new one. That's why I'm leaning towards Brave2 harness which seams very nice and well presented on their website.

As I said before, my dealer can get this equipment for me only if I declare to buy it... so any opinions helping to make a good choice will be appreciated.

regards

I have available a Niviuk Skate 14 complete of the original Niviuk reversible harness in very good conditions. The wing is well suited for beginner, as you have the choice to use it with tree risers system and trims or two fixed risers without trims.
I ask € 800,00 sent to your address in EU.
Looking forward to hear soon from you

I'm from Bulgaria. Here there are not much people doing this sport and I’m going to learn from my paragliding instructor and next year I will go to speed riding course some ware in Alps.

The info I have about the carver is that it is faster than Nano and it’s more responsive and you can do steep turns with it. It’s very confusing with all those wings on the market because they don’t have any certification like in the paragliding and there is big mess in my head now because I’m shore there are difference between those wings some are fester others are more responsive and lots of other factors. I want to get in to this sport step by step and doing it in a safe and fun way, don't want to rush too much

Hi, I've been learning on a Nano 12.5 and a Nano 10 and have less experience than you. I've found it a very forgiving wing and very easy to fly though I've only done foot launching on them so far and no skiing. I can't comment on the Caver.

Where abouts are you from?

IMO - Of the two gliders, the 14m Nano would be more skiable (due to smaller wing size) and would be my choice as a first glider to learn on.

Hello,
I'm completely new to speed-riding and would like advice form more experience speed-riders.
I have around 30hours paragliding experience and would like to start with speed-riding this ski season. I'm 190cm and weight 95kg naked
I have 2 good offers for wings:
- Gin Nano 14m
- Independence Carver 15m

my concern about the carver is that they say that is 5km faster than the Nano but the Nano is 1m smaller then the Carver
- which one is more stable and ski-able
Which wing would you recommend me to buy?

Thanks
