Some locations require skiing to the launch site...

Bit of research on the web notice most poles are around 60cm in length (shortest length) are there any that can reduce to around 45cm - 50cm in length making them less of a Hazard when carrying them while flying ?

Anything much longer than 50cm does not fit in the Gin Speedflyer harness

What make/size of adjustable/telescopic ski poles do you use ?

Hello,
I'm completely new to speed-riding and would like advice form more experience speed-riders.
I have around 30hours paragliding experience and would like to start with speed-riding this ski season. I'm 190cm and weight 95kg naked <img src="http://forum.speed-flying.com/my-plugins/bb-smilies/default/icon_smile.gif" title=":)" class="bb_smilies" />
I have 2 good offers for wings:
- Gin Nano 14m
- Independence Carver 15m

my concern about the carver is that they say that is 5km faster than the Nano but the Nano is 1m smaller then the Carver <img src="http://forum.speed-flying.com/my-plugins/bb-smilies/default/icon_smile.gif" title=":)" class="bb_smilies" />
- which one is more stable and ski-able
Which wing would you recommend me to buy?

Thanks

Perhaps this is a stupid question folks, but I have been wondering about something for a while, and I figure it's better to ask first before trying it out in real life.

I've been flying since 1994, but I have never had a glider with trimmers. How will a speedglider react if using the trimmers in flight? Pulling them evenly on both sides is surely not a problem, but what reaction will be provoked if pulling the trimmers asymmetricly? Will it turne more radical than when using the brakes? Will it become difficult to stabilize it?

This is a security question, not a "acro" question:)

I fly a Nano 14 by the way...
