Hi to all! I'm a base jumper and skydiver and I'm looking to get into your sport but without the skis.I live in wales where we have some pretty big hills and i want to fly down them.I have been looking at some of the gliders out there but which one is best for foot launching and has a good glide.I weigh 98 kgs and was looking at a 14m2 swoop or nano.i will only be flying over green stuff and im used to flying small skydiving canopies.

Any advice would be cool and thanks!

    Where in Wales are you?

    Hi Adrian
I live in South Wales. I have been flying the BioAir skim12 for about two months now. I foot launch this wing and it is grate! It has a stall speed of 27kph, trim speed of 50kph and trim off speed of 70kph. The wing has a max flying weight of 100kg and a glide of 5:1. Where are you based in Wales? If your close you can come have a look at my wing if you would like to see one up close. The Skim is about half the price of the Swoop but it is as well made as any paraglider! I love it.

    Hello Adrian

If you want to take off without skies I would take the swoop! It has a better glide ratio, shorter break travels, accelerates really nicely into turns and is just great fun!
