Hi!

I'm a light pilot (50Kg) looking for a mini-wing for high-wind soaring. So I have to choose between: Niviuk Zion 15 or Little Cloud Spiruline 16. I don't want any other brand.

I prefer the Niviuk, but can i fly the Niviuk Zion with only 55Kg aprox. (in-flight weight)?

What would you choose? Obviously I can use ballast, but I don't like it!

Please, help me choosing the right wing!

Little Cloud Spiruline 16 has a recommended weight range of 50 / 95 Kg

Niviuk Zion 15 shows a weight of 91Kg

but no minimum weight Zion is smaller wing loading calculation gives approx 0.750 lbs/ft² which is a loading suitable for normal paragliding.

Glider wouldn't be too under loaded and not flyable. just means you have a reduced maximum wind speed you can fly it in.

Not used either glider so impossible to say which would be best suited for you - But as you say you prefer the Zion then I think that would be the one to choose.

Also depends on the type of flying you are looking for - Zion is a much more advance glider being more mini paraglider in design and construction.

From watching videos of both gliders I think I would go Zion if was my choice.

Thank you! Nice to read that.

The best of all is: the Zion has the best price in Portugal (1350€). LC Spiruline costs 1500€. All the others gliders have higher prices.

So, I choose Niviuk Zion.

Look for the Ginseng 15 from Little Cloud its perfect for 50 kg . but you have to be a little experienced pilot .
