Le speedriding est né il y a exactement 10 ans, ici à Valfréjus.
Pour fêter ça, l'école ATAKA organise un maxi boogie "10 ans du Speedriding à Valfréjus", du 3 au 6 février 2011.
Pas de compétition, juste du fun avec la sécurité en prime!
4 jours d'animation et de démo par les pionniers du sports :
Fred Fugen, Frank Coupat, David Eyraud, Antoine Montant,François Bon, Antoine Boisselier, Antoine Montant ...
Pour immortaliser ce moment entre riders, nous organiserons une "avalanche de couleurs", c'est à dire le record du monde officiel du plus grand nombre de Speedriders en plein vol.
De plus, vous pourrez participer au concours vidéo de speedriding avec à la clé des lots Fusalp et Tecnica à gagner. Le concours consiste à filmer son plus beau run de speedriding. La vidéo sera alors évaluée à l'applaudimat lors de la diffusion des vidéos le samedi 5 au soir au Ice Rock Mountain.
Notez qu'un règlement du concours vous sera remis lors de votre inscription à la tente sécurité le jeudi 3 février.
IMPORTANT : Seuls les riders licenciés pour la pratique du speedriding pourront participer à l'événement. Si vous avez besoin de prendre vore licence 2011, merci de nous contacter.
Aperçu du programme :
- J1 : Evalutation des participants pour la création des groupes de niveau, Journée de ride libre et démonstrations
- J2 : Journée libre et/ou pour ceux qui le désirent, Découverte des spots de speedriding dans toute la station, accompagné par des moniteurs compétents
- J3 : o Entraînement et tentative de réalisation du « Record du monde du plus grand nombre de speedriders en plein vol », accrédité par le Guiness Book des records
o Soirée avec présentation de toutes les vidéos des 3 jours + Apéro
- J4 : Journée libre

If you refer to page 8 of "The Art of Paragliding" there is a picture from 1988 in Alaska of Bruce Hamler; skis (check), wing (check), mountain (check), airborne (check). On the same page it was stated that Greg Yarbenet was launching slopes as far back as 1968. Also "bladerunning" competitions started to pop up on mountains in North America in the mid 90's (if memory serves correct).
